here it is the end of the week and I feel as if I have accomplished very little. In some ways it is so but in others it is not the case. I am trying (have been trying) to finish up a class which I have kicking down the road for the last eight weeks.
Once this is over with I am taking a break until the first of the year. I hope to get some things done during my break which have been on hold since 2007.
Please keep me in your prayers

The coming together of.....

Things have a way of coming together. Just as these planks, which I had started nailing up weeks ago, just came together a couple hours ago I hope I can say the same about many other things in my life.
I am confident that it will be so. But, not today. I have errands to run as well as kids to pick up from activities. I also have a lawn to mow. I feel good about it though.
Finished!!!
....just nailed the last few planks in place a couple hours ago. It has been a long time coming. The Atrium is covered and tomorrow we will run some trim in the high spots before working on some areas downstairs which I did not finish.
It is a relief to have the ceiling covered with the tongue and groove planks. I measured the hiegth and it is about 30 feet from floor to peak.
Spiritually speaking, I wish i could say the same. I would like to claim that I have everything as it needs to be. There are areas that I need to work on. I know everyone has issues but the fact that I am a pastor carries with it the assumption that I am supposed to be the example which everyone wants to follow. This presents a certain type of anxiety because at any given moment I am running behind as it pertains to any given area of my life.
My hope is that once I get current with my studies things will work out. Then there is the A-frame construction....if I could get it completed then I would be free to work on some of those projects which have been neglected for far too long.
I will quit rambling for now. Please keep me in your prayers

educational anxiety!!!!!!
I have found myself once again stressed because of my post graduate studies. This means that all things are about to be "on hold" until I get caught UP!!
To anyone who may be reading this post, I implore you....please pray that I'll dig myself out of this hole

early...

it is early morning at Indian Creek & I can sense an early fall. The fog has settled in the valley just below our house.
I just finished my second cup of coffee.
It is these moments which help me to focus and prioritize in so far as coming to an understanding of what is really important in life.
I have much to do today. There is the A-frame construction. I hope to complete the tongue-&-groove paneling on the high atrium by this afternoon. Then I should make a trip to town in order to take care of some business. I also have a friends lawn to mow.

A-Frame....

Life has been busy over the last few weeks. I am trying to finish an A-frame house for my mother-n-law. It is a cool house and I think she will like it. However, the project has stressed my schedule in that I am also a full time seminary student as well as a pastor "on-call" 24/7
